We were delighted to welcome Yr10 students from Langley Grammar School for a Business Insights Conference organised by educational charity, Learning to Work and facilitated by Lesley Wheeler and Nicola Kyle.
Ascot Racecourse speakers included Eve Crotty-Joyce, IT Operational Services Manager and Alexandra Bertram, Senior Content & PR Marketing Manager. Speakers from our 1711 catering/hospitality team included Gemma Amor, Executive Chef, Megan Laycock, Planning Manager and Georgie Wilde, Kitchen Manager who each gave an overview of their career path and role at the racecourse.
Students were engaged with the task of planning one of three events:
A raceday with 2,000 guests;
An Asian wedding for 2,000 guests
An exhibition with 200 stands and 5,000 visitors!
