1711 by Ascot have been working with City Harvest, a surplus food redistribution charity that provides a sustainable solution to surplus food and food poverty.
They collect and distribute surplus food from organisations such as ours and redistribute it for free to 350+ charities, food banks, schools and community groups across every London borough that feed people facing food poverty, homelessness, social isolation, domestic abuse, mental health issues, etc
To date, this partnership has seen us donate 1,229 kg of food that would otherwise have been wasted, equating to 2,926 meals that would have been delivered. This also equates to 4,670 kg of co2 prevented; helping us with our sustainability goals.
Most recently 1711 by Ascot also recently helped with our Staff Harvest Food Bank Drive for Slough Foodbank; donating 196lt of UHT Milk, 120ltrs UHT Orange juice, 120 rice puddings and more … All gratefully received by the charity and a big thanks to all our staff who were able to contribute.
