Millinery Collective

The Royal Ascot Millinery Collective

Royal Ascot – Tuesday 14th to Saturday 18th June 2022 – is the highlight of the British summer season and this year Ascot worked with world-renowned photographer and fashion director Damian Foxe to capture the hats in a timeless and beautiful way – as seen in these images.

The Collective was showcased in the stunning setting of Rosewood London in Holborn where its palatial staircases and corridors provided a contemporary yet classically elegant feel.

ITV Racing stylist Sarah Kate Byrne styled the millinery perfectly with a selection of fashion from Fenwick Bond Street, adding vintage pieces that are also available from their new in-store collection.

As well as styling classic occasionwear looks, Sarah Kate demonstrated how to have fun and showcase your individual style. From styling a dress back to front, for a chic buttoned-up-the-back look, to using a waist tie as a neck scarf to complete a look in a slightly alternative way, these small touches show how one garment can be styled in multiple ways to offer a different look.

The 12 looks comprise classic Royal Enclosure styles alongside inspiration for dressing in the Queen Anne Enclosure and Village Enclosure, where the Dress Code varies, as well as inspiration for the Windsor Enclosure where no formal Dress Code applies.

Innovative millinery is the crowning accessory to the Royal Meeting each year and the Royal Ascot Millinery Collective, now in its seventh year, celebrates the truly spectacular ‘wearable art’ that milliners create to be worn again and again, or passed down through generations.

The ongoing support from Fenwick strengthens the esteemed collection further, thanks to the exceptionally-curated designer fashion and world-class millinery for which this British institute is recognised – you can find all 12 designs stocked exclusively in their Bond Street store.
