Learning to Work / Ascot 1711 Inter-Schools Bake-Off Competition 2023

Ascot Racecourse Supports is delighted to once again announce its sponsorship of the above competition following the initiative’s success in 2022.
 
Working alongside education charity, Learning to Work, the competition which will see students from a range of local schools work in teams to create a “traybake” using locally produced ingredients. The theme this year will be the “Kings Coronation” and the winning bake will be showcased and available for sale at our Summer Family Mile Raceday on Saturday, 15th July 2023.
 
There will be a Junior Bake-Off for Year 5 students and a Senior Bake-Off for Year 7 students with the winning teams from each school invited to attend Ascot Racecourse for the Grand Final on the 18th April 2023.
 
During the Final, each team will share/display their mood board in the “Bake Off Creation Zone” to showcase their journey from idea to creation with entries being judged by our Executive Chef, Gemma Amor, alongside celebrity chef, James Tanner.
 
As part of the day, students will receive a short presentation on Ascot & 1711 and the amazing career paths on offer, followed by a prize presentation, afternoon tea and tour of the racecourse.
