Celebrating Racing To School's 21st Anniversary

On Sunday, 27th March 2022, we welcomed education charity Racing to School who are celebrating 21 years of inspiring young minds.  Since 2001, the charity has supported the learning and development of 200,000 young people. The charity offers interactive and healthy outdoor educational events for young people, staged at a variety of racing venues and is free to participating schools, colleges and youth groups throughout Great Britain. This year, a diverse group of 16,000 young people will experience a unique programme aimed at improving school subjects and offering a VIP introduction to the national sport of horse racing. Racing to School prides itself on providing fully inclusive opportunities for all young people and is committed to helping to deliver the industry’s strategy for diversity and inclusion.

The day saw the Racing to School team engage with our young audience – offering them a chance to experience what it feels like to ride a horse on one of the equicisers and to ride a “virtual” race using one of the charity’s virtual headsets.
