As part of our ongoing relationship with the British Racing School, a racing charity who offer apprenticeship courses for 16-22 yrs interested in a career in racing, Ascot Racecourse Supports has again donated monies to fund the purchase of hat silks for their students.
This marks exciting times for the charity who have just launched The Kickstart Scheme which facilitates horseracing businesses and charities to employ young people for free for six months, provided they are aged 16-24 yrs and claiming universal credit. The “Kickstarters” will receive training that will focus on introducing them to the racing industry and support their future employment. It is hoped these opportunities will attract new staff to the industry across a wide range of roles.
