Since the launch of Bet With Ascot in July 2018, and as part of Ascot’s community and social responsibility programme, racegoers have been placing their losing betting slips into charity boxes which have been installed across the racecourse.
A local and equine charity are chosen at the beginning of the jumps and flat season and the box with the most slips at the end of the season wins a £1,000 prize from “Ascot Racecourse Supports”.
We are delighted to announce that Charlie Waller Memorial Trust, a charity that educates young people on the importance of staying mentally well, based in Thatcham, had the most losing slips during the 2019-20 jumps season. Sadly we were unable to make a presentation in the current circumstances, but most importantly the monies have been transferred.
