On Wednesday, 9th March 2022, Ascot Racecourse will play host to the Grand Final of a junior and senior baking competition that will see students from 13 Berkshire schools work in teams of three to create a “Tray Bake” themed to celebrate the Queens Platinum Jubilee.
The finalists will be showcasing their creations alongside a presentation of their ideas and completion journey on a team mood board to our three judges: Gemma Amor, Ascot’s Executive Chef / Jonathan Parker, Managing Director of 1711 / Guest judge, Eric Lanlard, celebrity pâtissier.
The winners of both categories will see their tray bake creation featured on our retail menus across the venue from May 2022 for racegoers to purchase.
Attendees will also receive a career talk from Gemma and our HR teams followed by a tour of our kitchens and hospitality areas.
