Sunninghill & Ascot Parish Council have been working with The Hope Trust, The Sunninghill Trust, St Michael’s Church in Sunninghill and Holy Trinity Church in Sunningdale to support the local community during the pandemic and beyond.
Together they have formed a team of 75 Volunteers who have been matched to help those requiring help with shopping, prescription collections, befriending, garden waste removal, collection/redistribution of food boxes and provision of emergency bedding & food.
Other support has included –food vouchers and cash grants for families, help with debt and bankruptcy, supply of food & toiletries to NHS workers and nursing home staff, gifting of home cooked meals and a telephone buddy system for vulnerable people.
The SUPPORT HUB can now direct its volunteers to co-ordinating organisations, put those in need of financial or physical support in touch with supporting charities and provide a resource of local information.
