Royal Ascot’s Prince of Wales’s Stakes winner My Dream Boat will head for QIPCO British Champions Day on October 15thnext.
The QIPCO British Champion Stakes is the race in sight, which looks as if it could be one of the races of the year after initial entries boast some of the best horses in the world.
Clive Cox has been delighted with My Dream Boat all season, especially after beating the likes of Found and A Shin Hikari at Royal Ascot in June.
Strong efforts in the Coral-Eclipse and QIPCO Irish Champion Stakes since stand the four-year-old in good stead heading to Champions Day.
"I was very happy with My Dream Boat in what was a hotly-contested Group One," said Cox.
"To be part of it and perform how he did in such an event, we were thrilled. Even though he didn't win, he ran another solid race and confirmed his well-being.
"He has come out of the race well and we will be looking at the Champion Stakes.
"We are very relaxed about this time of year as we are likely to get more rain than not, so he should have his perfect surface."
My Dream Boat was behind Almanzor on his last start and the Irish Champion Stakes winner heads the Ante-Post betting for the QIPCO British Champion Stakes at Ascot with the likes of Found, Hawkbill, Highland Reel and Minding also in the mix.
