On Saturday, 18th January 2020, Ascot Racecourse welcomed representatives from The Injured Jockeys Fund (IJF) to receive a cheque for £35,000, representing the impressive sum raised via the Ascot/IJF Ambassador Programme in 2019. This programme was introduced in 2017 and sees Ascot donate £1 per Fine Dining customer to the charity in addition to on the day donations from guests who benefit from an informative talk by ex-jockeys.
To date, over £80,000 has been raised to help the rehabilitation and care of many jockeys and provides support to jockeys past and present who are injured, unable to ride or in need of help.
The presentation was covered by ITV4 Racing which you can view
