Order of Merit

Order of meritWhat is the Order of Merit?

The 'Racing for Change' Order of Merit is an adrenalin-charged series of the 70 top Jump races in Britain, featuring the best horses competing head to head from October through to April. Races are won and lost and the points are awarded accordingly, creating a truly prestigious Championship. The combined team, made up of the horse, jockey, trainer stable staff and owner, that consistently maintains its form in such a top class field over the season, will be crowned champions. It’s that simple and ultimately, that tough.
Last season the much loved Voy Por Ustedes claimed the title, picking up 76 points over 5 races, including two Grade 1 victories, and landing his connections the valuable first prize.

£100,000 is up for grabs, with the prize money to be distributed among the winning horse's owners, trainer and stable staff.

How does the Points System work?
The way the competition is scored has been designed to reflect the relevant grade of each race and the horse’s finishing position, therefore rewarding both excellence and participation.
