Cape of Good Hope, the Hong Kong trained horse won the Golden Jubilee Stakes today, the fourth leg of the Global Sprint Challenge and now leads the table in the international competition run by Racing Victoria, Ascot Racecourse and the Japan Racing Association. Cape of Good Hope will now be targeted to run in Japan in September and October. Cape of Good Hope leads the table, with 54 points, Chineur has 10, as does Fastnet Rock.

Royal Ascot at York was a hugely successful meeting. Mick Kinane has won the London Clubs Charity Trophy for being leading jockey - his fourth Royal Ascot title. (The others being in 1994, 1995 and 1996). Kinane had his first Royal Ascot winner in 1982, before some of the younger jockeys were even born!

Sir Michael Stoute won the leading trainer title, with four wins, two seconds and two thirds.

A magnificent week, with world class racing and high entertainment – Royal Ascot looks forward to welcoming racegoers back to Ascot Racecourse in 2006.
